Job Description The Public Service Commission of Utah is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill an Equipment Delivery Specialist & Outreach Coordinator position. This is a part-time position without benefits and requires the use of your own personal vehicle.Job Description The Telecommunications Equipment Distributor will be working for the Public Service Commission on the Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program; which is a state-mandated program that provides telecommunications services, Relay Utah and specialized telephone equipment to persons who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired, providing equal access to basic telephone service. In addition, the individual will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to individuals and groups to raise awareness of the Telecommunications Equipment Distribution and Telecommunications Relay Services among eligible populations. This role includes collaborating with local organizations, community groups, and stakeholders to promote services, conduct informational presentations, and ensure that individuals are informed about their eligibility and available resources. The individual will also gather feedback from the community to continuously improve outreach efforts and ensure that they meet the needs of the populations served. Principal Duties This employee will report to the Commission Secretary and perform the following duties:
- Distributing, troubleshooting and repairing of specialized telecommunications equipment.
- Providing training to various consumer groups who meet eligibility criteria to receive specialized telephone equipment.
- Developing and implementing outreach strategies to raise awareness of the Telecommunications Equipment Program and Telecommunications Relay Services for individuals who are dear, hard of hearing, or speech challenged.
- Collaborating with local organizations and community groups to promote services and conduct informational presentations.
- Attending Outreach Events.
- Gathering feedback from the community to improve outreach efforts and ensure they meet the needs of the populations served.

- Community Engagement: Experience in outreach, particularly those targeting individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech challenged.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
- Training Experience: Demonstrated ability to conduct workshops or informational presentations that educate potential recipients about available resources and eligibility criteria for the program.
- Cultural Competence: An understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, ensuring outreach efforts are sensitive and effective.
