Job Overview
The Equipment and Reliability Manager will oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of automation equipment in our cannabis beverage manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include equipment performance management, operator training, continuous improvement initiatives, technology research, and ensuring equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead repairs, maintenance, and optimization of production and packaging equipment.
- Collaborate with technical teams and leadership to enhance equipment performance.
- Manage changeover procedures to minimize downtime.
- Document all maintenance activities meticulously.
- Develop and refine preventive maintenance and reliability programs.
- Ensure safety regulations are followed and contribute to safety protocols.
- Research and recommend automation solutions and emerging technologies.
- Mentor technicians and staff on equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, and move throughout the facility.
- Work in various environments, including hot, cold, noisy, and confined spaces.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years experience with high-speed packaging equipment, preferably in canning and bottling.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with CAD design is a plus.
- Experience with brewery, bottling, and canning lines.
- Track record of implementing automation and reliability improvements.
Additional Information
This role requires collaboration, calmness under pressure, and handling cannabis products safely. Background checks are required. Salary range is $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
