This role is essential to maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the Keiser University Equestrian Center, including the barn, arenas, pastures, and common areas. SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Equestrian Maintenance Worker performs the following essential functions:
- Grounds Maintenance:
- Mow lawns, trim hedges, and maintain landscaping around barns and arenas.
- Maintain and repair fencing, gates, and pasture infrastructure.
- Clear debris, landscaping, and weeds from the grounds as needed.
- Facility Maintenance:
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on barns, stalls, tack rooms, and storage areas.
- Maintain plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems as needed.
- Assist with arena maintenance including dragging, watering, and footing upkeep.
- Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
- Operate tractors, mowers, weed trimmers, and other groundskeeping equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and tools.
- Support Barn Operations:
- Assist with unloading hay, feed, and bedding deliveries.
- Help with stall cleaning and manure management when needed.
- Support event setup and breakdown for shows or clinics.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or farm work.Familiarity with equestrian facilities and horse safety is a plus.Ability to operate and maintain landscaping and farm equipment.Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
