We are seeking an Epic Cross-Project Testing Coordinator to oversee and coordinate testing activities across multiple Epic applications during implementation, upgrades, and optimization projects. This role ensures that testing is comprehensive, well-documented, and aligned across clinical, revenue cycle, and technical domains. The ideal candidate will have experience in Epic implementations, strong knowledge of Epic testing cycles (unit testing, integrated testing, parallel testing, and user acceptance testing), and the ability to collaborate with analysts, project managers, and operational leaders. Key Responsibilities Testing Strategy & Planning Develop and maintain a cross-project testing plan covering unit, integrated, regression, parallel, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Establish test scope, objectives, entry/exit criteria, and success metrics for each phase. Partner with application teams and project leadership to identify cross-module testing dependencies. Coordination & Execution Coordinate testing schedules, resources, and environments across multiple Epic applications. Facilitate communication between clinical, revenue cycle, and technical teams to ensure test coverage. Monitor progress of testing activities, escalate issues, and track defect resolution. Documentation & Reporting Maintain test scripts, test cases, and defect logs in alignment with project standards. Provide regular testing status updates to project leadership, highlighting risks, blockers, and completion percentages. Support audit and compliance requirements by ensuring proper documentation of testing results. Issue Management & Quality Assurance Track and manage defects through resolution, working with Epic analysts, build teams, and technical staff. Ensure testing validates not only functionality but also workflow integration, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. Proactively identify gaps in test coverage and propose remediation plans. Go-Live & Post-Implementation Support Support cutover testing and go-live readiness assessments. Coordinate validation of converted data, interfaces, and downstream system connectivity. Facilitate post-go-live stabilization testing and optimization initiatives. Qualifications Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Informatics, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Epic certification(s) in one or more modules strongly preferred. ISTQB or other software testing certification a plus. Experience: 3–5 years of Epic implementation or upgrade project experience. Prior experience as a testing coordinator, test lead, or QA analyst in healthcare IT. Knowledge of Epic testing methodologies (NVT, IST, UAT, regression, parallel). Skills: Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel test efforts. Excellent written and verbal communication, including reporting to executives and project leadership. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance. Ability to work effectively across clinical, business, and technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with Epic testing in multiple modules (clinical, HIM, revenue cycle). Familiarity with test management tools (HP ALM/Quality Center, Zephyr, qTest, etc.). Experience coordinating testing for large-scale EHR implementations (Cerner to Epic, Allscripts to Epic, etc.). Knowledge of healthcare operations and regulatory requirements (CMS, HIPAA, Joint Commission).
