Overview Employer paid benefits - Medical, Dental, and Vision!Salary Range: Min: $91,269.36 Max: $147,000.00Definition of Position: The Senior Epic Analyst will possess a high level of technical proficiency and advanced skills to support, design, configure, optimize, and maintain Epic applications. This role involves leading complex tasks such as analysis, design, build, testing, documentation, training, implementation, reporting, and user support. The Senior Epic Analyst will collaborate with clinical leadership, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure that Epic applications effectively support the organization's clinical and operational needs. This position requires the ability to manage large-scale projects and initiatives, independently solve complex issues, and ensure seamless integration across systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Epic's suite of applications, a deep understanding of clinical workflows, and a proven track record of leading system implementations and optimizations. The Senior Epic Analyst should demonstrate leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior analysts, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Epic applications and related systems. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and manage Epic application configurations and implementations: Take ownership of high-level design, build, and deployment of Epic applications across various departments such as Nursing, Radiology, Pharmacy, and others. Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet both clinical and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership and IT teams: Work closely with stakeholders to design and refine workflows within Epic, ensuring alignment with clinical and business goals. Serve as a subject matter expert in both clinical operations and Epic configurations.
  • Oversee Epic system optimization: Provide expertise in optimizing workflows and Epic modules, including EpicCare Inpatient, ASAP, OpTime, Radiant, MyChart, Stork, and Cadence. Ensure systems are running at peak performance, reducing downtime and enhancing usability.
  • Lead troubleshooting and support: Serve as the escalation point for complex Epic-related issues, using advanced technical knowledge to resolve high-level problems. Provide both technical support and guidance to teams across the organization.
  • Manage and mentor junior Epic Analysts: Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members, helping them develop technical and professional skills. Offer training and guidance to ensure the success of the Epic platform across the organization.
  • Project management: Lead and manage large-scale Epic projects, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated, timelines are met, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate system testing and validation: Ensure that all configurations and updates undergo rigorous testing to meet clinical needs and system specifications before going live.
  • Provide expert training: Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for super-users, core teams, and end-users. Ensure all stakeholders are able to maximize the functionality of Epic applications.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners: Coordinate with third-party vendors and system integrators to implement and maintain external applications that integrate with Epic, ensuring smooth data flows and functional integration.
  • Document system changes and updates: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on system changes, configurations, and updates for future reference and audit purposes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications Qualifications:Education Required: Associate degree in a related field (e.g., Nursing, Medical Technology, Pharmacy) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or other advanced degrees in healthcare or IT-related fields. Licenses/ certifications/ registrations Required: At least two Epic certifications in a relevant module (e.g., EpicCare Inpatient, OpTime, ASAP, Radiant, EpicCare Ambulatory, Cadence, etc.). Preferred: Additional Epic certifications in multiple modules or specialized certifications related to the candidate's expertise. Experience Required: At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Epic applications in a healthcare setting. Experience with Epic build, support, configuration, implementation, and optimization in clinical and operational settings. Preferred: Previous leadership or senior-level Epic Analyst experience. Proven track record of managing and leading large Epic projects, with experience in multiple Epic modules such as EpicCare Inpatient, Cadence, Radiant, and MyChart. Other: Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with clinical staff, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional walking, standing, bending, or lifting light office items (up to 25 pounds). Visual acuity to view computer screens and read detailed financial documents. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. May be required to move throughout the healthcare facility, including administrative and clinical areas. Working Conditions: This position operates in a professional office setting within a healthcare facility. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The office environment is climate-controlled, well-lit, and ergonomically designed for extended computer work. While this role is primarily office-based and does not involve direct patient care, the employee may occasionally be present in clinical areas or interact with staff working in clinical environments. As such, there is a potential for exposure to infectious diseases.
