Position Summary

This position leads the planning, execution, and continual improvement of the quality program in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) PowerFLX business line. This is a hands-on position that bridges strategic quality planning to tactical execution with direct ownership for day-to-day quality program delivery at multiple EPC projects.

This position can be filled at the Manager or Director level, depending on the candidate's experience, expertise, and demonstrated ability to drive value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the EPC commercial team to provide quality input to EPC proposals and support contract negotiation.
  • Establish and enforce a standard EPC Quality Plan template adaptable to project-specific requirements.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for EPC quality performance to the client, the executive leadership team, and corporate quality.
  • Direct, mentor, and evaluate all EPC Site Quality Managers and their teams, ensuring alignment with the EPC Quality Program.
  • Provide quality control oversight to all EPC projects at key project milestones and during critical quality inspections.
  • Champion professional development for EPC quality staff, ensuring high technical competence across disciplines.
  • Partner with Engineering and Procurement teams to integrate quality principles in all phases of EPC execution.
  • Coordinate construction quality execution and site inspections across multiple concurrent EPC sites, ensuring consistent standards and processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely turnover of quality documentation.
  • Maintain conformance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate quality risks that could impact schedule, cost, or client satisfaction.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and track EPC-specific KPIs, such as defect rates, supplier nonconformance trends, and cost of poor quality.
  • Lead root cause investigations for major quality incidents and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct structured lessons-learned sessions at the end of each project, driving actionable improvements into future projects.
Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of progressive Quality leadership experience in EPC, power generation, or heavy industrial construction
  • Proven record overseeing quality for multiple concurrent large-scale projects
  • Strong working knowledge of multidisciplinary inspections, including civil, mechanical, and electrical.
  • Expertise in interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, F&IDs, and construction specifications
  • Demonstrated success in supplier quality oversight for high-value equipment packages.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
