Enzyme Manufacturing Technician - EKF Diagnostics : Job Details

Job Type Full-time Description SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for enzyme manufacturing operations both in microbial fermentations and downstream purification of biological products for in-house processes and contract manufacturing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, included but not limited to:

• Perform operations regarding microbial cell production via fermentation.
• Perform operations regarding enzyme purification from microbial cells.
• Assist with inventory maintenance.
• Ordering of raw materials and supplies for the Enzyme Manufacturing Department.
• General cleaning and organization of the lab areas. Maintain clean and safe work area.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Assist with validation and implementation of new processes.
• Assist as needed in other areas of the company where training requirements have been completed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience OR a relevant associates degree.
• Lab experience
• Experience working in a regulated industry (food grade, laboratory, etc.)
• Self-motivated.

• Familiarity with cGMP manufacturing requirements.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with microbial fermentors, and or fermentation processes.
• Familiarity with downstream processing regarding biological products.
