Job Description :
Trains all new Environmental Services employees. Provides ongoing education to Environmental Services staff. Responsibilities Orients all new hires on basic housekeeping functions (bathroom cleaning, discharge cleaning, occupied patient room cleaning, office cleaning, ancillary area cleaning, and high touch point cleaning). Completes monthly education refreshers with all housekeeping staff. Completes and documents annual competency training of all housekeeping staff. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission/ CMS regulations for Environment of Care Chapter: Chemical labeling and mixing Required supplies SDS knowledge Proper PPE Universal Precautions and Infection Control Signs Proper cart set up and EVS closet maintenance Locking carts Personal belongings in appropriate lockers Proper handling of medical waste and linen. Notifies Environmental Services management of any recurring concerns with staff training/education.
