Cleans and maintains all assigned areas of the hospital in a sanitary and attractive manner in accordance with required accreditation and industry standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment and transports to designated work area. Cleans assigned areas in accordance with accreditation and industry standards. Tasks include, but not limited to, cleaning walls, floors, dusting, buffing, polishing, scrubbing, moving furniture, waste removal, laundry/linen duties and other tasks as directed. Cleans and maintains equipment. Maintains good relationships with patients, visitors and colleagues. Plans and utilizes time well. Uses initiative in performing duties. Demonstrates professional attitude and behavior by maintaining acceptable work habits including, but not limited to, dependability, punctuality, and appropriate behaviors.
