Environmental Project Manager

The diverse Benderson portfolio includes retail, office, industrial, hotel, residential, and land holdings.

The Environmental Project Manager will work with our Director of Construction to oversee various environmental clean-up projects.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • daily contractor activities, document project progress, and inspect work for compliance with the contract documents and safety standards.
  • project schedule with the contractor, Environmental Managers, Construction Project Managers, and other trades.
  • and document project change orders. Assist Environmental Managers with compiling and implementation of change orders.
  • environmental inspections with company consultants and coordinate access with property management and tenants.
  • utility disconnects by scheduling with local utility companies, municipalities, and subcontractors.
  • Environmental Managers with bidding and awarding demolition, asbestos abatement, and environmental remediation projects. Including preparation of bid documents, contractor solicitation, and site walk throughs.
  • secondary trades such as third-party monitors, fencing contractors and utility contractors. Including bid solicitation, purchase orders, scheduling, and processing invoices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of environmental project management experience. Bachelor s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, construction management, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Strong project management skills, results-driven, with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong analytical thought process with sound judgement and a keen attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter with a collaborative spirit.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must live in the Western New York Area; Out of area candidates must relocate.

Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000 annually

**Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
