Lord and Winter is looking for an experienced Project Geologist to join our growing team! This hybrid role offers a balance of remote work and field/project site visits in the Metro Detroit area. You'll play a key role in site assessments, data interpretation, and delivering smart, sustainable solutions for a variety of environmental and geotechnical projects.

• Lead field investigations including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling
• Conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
• Analyze geological and hydrogeological data
• Draft technical reports, proposals, and client communications
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

• Bachelor's in Geology, Geological Sciences, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with Michigan environmental regulations
• Strong technical writing and data interpretation skills
• GIS, AutoCAD, or geologic modeling software proficiency
• Valid driver's license (fieldwork required)

Preferred:

• Master's in Geological Science
• Professional Geologist (PG) license or eligibility
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
