Environmental Health & Safety - NY Staffing : Job Details

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Environmental Health & Safety. Position Type: Full time Contract, Contract to Hire Duration: 12 months Location: Amityville, NY 11701 (Onsite)

This role is to oversee and execute the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability programs. The role will report to the Airborne Combat Systems EHS&S Sector Director with dotted-line responsibility to the site Operations Director.

• Integrate EHS&S into all aspects of the business
• Implement all health and safety programs
• Implement all environmental programs
• Implement all sustainability initiatives
• Ensure all monthly and quarterly data reporting requirements are met
• Manage all interactions with EHS-related regulatory agencies
• Oversee injury case management
• Work proactively with site leadership to incorporate EHS&S into all elements of the business
• Lead initiatives to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Routinely brief leadership on the health of the EHS&S program
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree, preferably in a field related to EHS&S. Substantive and relative work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 5 years of EHS&S experience in roles of increasing responsibility and leadership. ATF Responsible Person Clearance under the site's Federal Explosives License. Read and develop a solid understanding of regulatory requirements. Assess potential risk and develop effective mitigations. Effective communication skills and ability to engage employees in support of a proactive safety culture. Adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize work effectively. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn new software as needed.

Pay Range: $60-$64 per hour.
