Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, this is a hands-on position that requires the individual to oversee and respond to daily business needs related to Facilities and EHS. Position will be responsible for ensuring proper implementation of Facilities and EHS procedures, providing training related to Facilities and EHS to all employees, executing preventative maintenance activities, and maintaining associated records. Position will focus on ensuring a safe, clean, professional, and enjoyable work environment for all employees.

Essential Functions:

+ Assure buildings are maintained in a safe, clean, professional, and operationally effective condition.

+ Assign and manage daily work order assignments with input from other Facilities staff.

+ Maintain overall responsibility for EHS and Sustainability programs and its implementation, improvement, and monitoring.

+ Maintain the 180-day chemical and other key process satellite areas, machine shop, paint shop and substrates for safety and compliance.

+ Conduct internal audits, inspections, and other similar tasks to ensure continued effectivity of the Facilities and EHS programs.

+ Remain current with all applicable Facilities and EHS regulations and implement programs to ensure compliance. Implement programs to maintain conformance with Corporate EHS policies and insurance requirements.

+ Lead emergency planning effectively including hazardous waste training, fire drills and employee communications.

+ Work with contractors to ensure effective risk mitigation and job execution, including the implementation of contractor safety oversight programs.

+ Provides direction to assigned staff with responsibility for maintaining all facility required environmental permitting, plan development, reporting and inspection activities.

+ Lead or assist with applicable Facilities and EHS regulatory inspections, external audits, customer audits, and internal audits.

+ Lead or assist with injury and illness investigation activities related to Facilities or EHS to assure effective root cause and corrective actions.

+ Participate in annual budget and capital expenditure preparation activities. Prepare or assist in the preparation of capital expenditure requests.

+ Performs other similar tasks as required and assigned.

+ Have PC skills to complete work orders from Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

+ Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD security clearance

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in an EHS, Facilities Management or related field, and a minimum of 6 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree in an EHS, Facilities Management or related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

+ Ability and skill to exercise sound judgment in quickly evaluating emergency situations and rendering prompt decisions.

+ Willing to work after normal business hours, if necessary, and be available after hours for emergency situations and other company related calls.
