About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Coordinator to support and strengthen the Environmental, Health, and Safety culture at our manufacturing facility. This position plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, driving safety initiatives, and promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining site-specific EHS programs and policies in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventative measures
- Facilitate EHS training programs and toolbox talks to ensure employee awareness and engagement
- Maintain records of inspections, incidents, training, and compliance activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support safe work practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support environmental compliance efforts, including waste management, chemical inventory, air/water permits, and sustainability initiatives
- Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills
- Serve as a point of contact during regulatory inspections and audits
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental regulations
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems
- Ability to lead training and communicate safety practices across various levels of the organization
