We are seeking a dynamic Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead our EHS strategy across all locations. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. • Design and deliver EHS training programs, including onboarding, hazard communication, laboratory safety, PPE, and emergency response. • Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to site-based Safety Officers and safety committees, ensuring standardized safety practices across all locations. • Facilitate cross-functional and cross-site collaboration to harmonize EHS programs within the matrixed structure, including manufacturing, R&D, quality, and facilities. • Conduct internal audits and manage external audits, inspections, and risk assessments to proactively identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. • Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the execution of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). • Collect, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics; support leadership with actionable insights to drive continuous improvement. • Manage chemical hygiene, hazardous waste, and sustainability initiatives in partnership with operational and site teams. • As requested, serve as liaison with regulatory agencies, preparing for and facilitating inspections and audits. What We're Looking For:Education/Experience • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienst (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) professional certification preferred. • Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in EHS management within manufacturing or laboratory environments, preferably in life sciences or pharmaceuticals. Other Qualification Requirements • Proven ability to lead within a matrixed organization and influence without direct authority. • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build rapport with diverse teams. • Strong knowledge of relevant industry, federal, state, and local regulations and best practices. • Proficient in EHS management tools/systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office. • Ability to create, read and comprehend work instructions, policies/procedures, and memos. • BSL3 experience preferred • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment. • Strong time management and organization skills. • Demonstrate good judgment and decision making skills.
