Job Description: As a Heavy Civil Environmental Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and managing environmental aspects of a large-scale infrastructure project based in Tribeca, New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting environmental impact assessments and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to minimize environmental impact during construction.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and regulatory agencies to address environmental concerns and achieve project goals.
  • Monitoring and mitigating potential environmental risks throughout project lifecycle.
  • Providing technical expertise on environmental remediation and restoration projects.
  • Conducting site inspections and assessments to identify environmental hazards and recommend solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on environmental engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, including NEPA, CEQR, SEQRA, and permitting processes.
  • Experience with environmental impact assessments, remediation techniques, and sustainability practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and other engineering software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
