Job Details:We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Environmental Coordinator to join our team in the Food Manufacturing industry. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about environmental sustainability and keen to make a significant impact on our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes comply with all relevant environmental regulations and standards. This position requires a deep understanding of environmental laws and policies, particularly those related to stormwater management, UV disinfection, air quality monitoring, and spill prevention. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems and programs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee activities related to stormwater management, UV disinfection, air quality monitoring, and spill prevention.
  • Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with different departments to develop and implement effective strategies for reducing environmental impact.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on environmental policies and best practices.
  • Respond to environmental emergencies and incidents, coordinating effective response and clean-up efforts.
  • Prepare and submit reports on environmental performance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging environmental trends, technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management or coordination, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in stormwater management, UV disinfection, air quality monitoring, and spill prevention.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential environmental risks and issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar certification is a plus.
