About the Role:
The Project Manager is responsible for technical management and project leadership to initiate, implement, and direct successful completion of industrial hygiene projects. You will apply a strong technical background to provide expert advice in a variety of industrial hygiene projects. The project manager will foster healthy client relationships, generate proposals, manage budgets, and create technical reports and remediation specifications. Our ideal candidate will leverage proactive problem solving, excellent time management, and strong multi-tasking abilities to drive successful project completion.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide project leadership for a diverse portfolio of environmental projects including, but not limited to, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, asbestos abatement design, indoor environmental quality, mold, and moisture
- Prepare project proposals, develop budgets and cost estimates, deliver proper scoping of services, evaluate revenue goals, oversee project billing and collections, evaluating equipment, and ensure project profitability
- Plans, develops, and delivers presentations to clients regarding various phases of projects
- Prepare written reports documenting survey findings, summarizing scientific data, and providing recommendations to clients
- Participate in business development activities to maintain a strong pipeline of clients
- Perform daily functions of projects by coaching and mentoring project staff on quality data generation, managing staff availability and workload, and reviewing data reporting for accuracy and quality
- Additional field responsibilities may include performing on-site surveys, inspections, assessments, abatement oversight and monitoring, auditing of safety procedures and applicable regulations associated with industrial hygiene and environmental projects
- Participate in QA/QC audits
Management:
- Direct, supervise, and motivate employees through effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations that align with organizational goals, providing effective recognition and feedback, conducting team and one-on-one meetings, and holding team accountable to targets and effective performance reviews
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of strong technical and industry knowledge
- DOSH Certified Asbestos Consultant and CDPH Lead Inspector/Assessor preferred
- Current AHERA certification; Project Designer and Management planner certifications are a plus
- Previous experience managing and developing staff
- Experience successfully managing large and complex projects in our service line areas
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health and Safety, Biological or Physical Science, or equivalent
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with clients and team
- Flexibility in work schedule and willing to travel to different project locations, as projects require
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, push pull, drag, grab objects and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- Must pass annual medical exam and respirator fit test
- Must pass background check with a clean record
ADA Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, push pull, drag, grab objects and lift up to 50lbs. Also required is the ability to hear and have verbal conversations, climb a ladder and stairs, crawl through small spaces.
