Job Description :
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Abatement Technician to support asbestos abatement and industrial maintenance projects. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, company procedures, and all relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform asbestos abatement tasks under supervision.
  • Accurately complete required daily paperwork such as timesheets, work reports, driving logs, and safety meeting forms.
  • Follow the defined scope of work and project schedules with attention to detail.
  • Work safely in various environments, including confined spaces and high-risk areas.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions in English and recognize safety warnings and signage.
  • Safely operate and inspect company vehicles, if licensed.
  • Travel may be required for assignments lasting two weeks or longer.
  • Maintain consistent compliance with safety standards set by both the company and clients.
  • Adapt to varied physical demands and environmental conditions based on each project.
  • Perform work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
  • Work in extreme environments involving heat, cold, noise, chemicals, hazardous materials, and elevated locations.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more, stand or crouch for extended periods, and use hands frequently.
  • Maintain facial hair grooming standards to ensure proper respirator seal.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in abatement work.
  • Related experience in emergency response, general labor, construction, or industrial cleaning is preferred.
  • Must hold a valid state-issued abatement license and 32-hour asbestos worker certification.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Additional safety certifications such as hazardous waste operations, confined space entry, or lead awareness are a plus.
  • Must pass pre-employment background checks, driving record review, and drug screening, with ongoing compliance checks during employment.
