Environment, Health and Safety Manager - CONF : Job Details

We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Leader to lead all aspects of the environmental, health, and safety programs across a manufacturing site.

Responsibilities:

• Establish the EHS strategies and execution plans in partnership with the site leadership teams across multiple locations.
• Monitor current and emerging EHS regulations to understand and proactively respond to changes that potentially impact site operations.
• Act as the primary contact with EHS regulatory agencies including EPA, OSHA, DOE, and other federal, state, and local bodies.
• Provide leadership and coaching for the EHS Departments at various sites.
• Interface closely with site personnel and outside contractors to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental programs.
• Lead monthly safety meetings with business leaders and site managers. Mentor site safety committee members and participate in monthly safety committee meetings.
• Conduct safety audits and develop plans with local branch leadership to resolve any discrepancies identified.
• Partner with external environmental service providers to ensure the site maintains full compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.
• Assist or lead accident investigations in partnership with HR/Operations teams.

Educational/Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), or related field.
• An EHS Professional certification (i.e., CSP, ASP, CIH, etc.) is plus!
• 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership with organizational transformation responsibility, impacting the business strategy.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing safety systems and technologies that have delivered measurable short-term and long-term improvements in safety performance.
