The EHS Manager is responsible for cultivating a site culture in tune with Company values with an unconditional stance on safety, a focus on employee wellness & wellbeing, and environmental compliance. The EHS Leader will develop, implement, and evaluate critical safety & health processes/programs/procedures to achieve a zero-injury environment. The successful candidate will provide leadership and apply technical abilities to engage employees at all levels of the organization in order to develop and sustain world-class safety, health & environmental process. The position will serve as a member of the Plant Leadership Team.
Span of Control: The position has 5 direct reports.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The EHS Leader will have the responsibility to:
Live the Safer Together program, adhere to the safety responsibilities.
Champion and promote the actions and behaviors of the Safer Together program. Establish and accomplish aggressive personal, and facility goals that align with division and the Client's corporate goals. These goals will reflect a total commitment to developing a strong safety culture and achieving a world-class safety process.

Developing safety leadership capabilities in our people.
Develop skills and grow capabilities throughout the site, including:
· Coach, mentor, and re-direct personnel in the plant in a manner designed to develop Extraordinary Leaders
· Assessing effectiveness of plant leadership from a safety perspective and providing development and recommending changes as required
· Able to effectively communicate the importance of the plant and Division EHS strategies to the plant population
· Develop and implement training programs in a coordinated effort with appropriate plant personnel
· Continually reinforce the company's stand on safety and always recognize employee accomplishments and contributions
· Empowers employees to prevent or stop and correct unsafe acts or work conditions
· Builds organizational capabilities through people, technology, and process management
· Partners with the Plant and Department teams to progress in the site TPM journey
· Leads the EHS Pillar Team for the site and ensures the Master Plan is deployed and effective

· Progression and completion on EHS pillar masterplan objectives
Oversee legal compliance and adherence to Company policies and processes.
· Lead and manage visible risk and the processes for adherence to OSHA regulations. Provide expert technical support in identifying and resolving critical regulatory issues
· Oversee safety policies, systems and processes to ensure State and Federal, Corporate, Business Unit and local compliance as required
· Ensure effective management of all safety incidents to avoid intervention
· For any safety incidents, ensure proper investigation, root cause analysis, communication and aggressive action planning and execution to prevent future repeat incidents across any location
· Responsible for compiling and reporting EHS metrics to division leadership, plant personnel, and others as appropriate
· Effectively address potential environmental issues to prevent enforcement actions (i.e. NOV's) from local, state, or federal agencies
· Work with Corporate Regulatory Law to ensure compliance of all regulatory permits and processes
· Maintain positive relationships with appropriate regulatory agencies and internal Company contacts.
· Responsible for leadership and operation of the plant clinic and for developing and maintaining working relationships with local contracted medical facilities.
· Responsible for coordinating and leading the site Energy Plan, including required reporting
· Provide expert technical support in identifying and resolving critical regulatory issues.

· % closure on safety incident corrective actions within 30 days
· Deficiencies in internal H&S audits
· Prevention of the reoccurrence of similar injuries and incidents
