Job Title: EHS Manager
Location: Wheaton, IL
Salary: $100,000-$120,000
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an EHS Manager to join our client's organization in the Wheaton, IL area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance on EHS matters to plant and management teams.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
- Develop and implement EHS strategies, policies, and annual operating plans.
- Conduct audits, assessments, and training to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Lead root cause analyses and corrective action planning for incidents and near-misses.
- Manage regulatory interactions, including inspections and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate and organized EHS records and documentation.
- Promote continuous improvement in safety culture and environmental sustainability.
- Support emergency response planning and execution.
- Identify and implement initiatives to reduce environmental impact (e.g., water use, emissions, waste).
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of occupational safety and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with regulatory research and program implementation.
- Preferred certifications: CSP, ASP, CHCM, OSHA 30-Hour, or Ergonomics Certification.
