Job Description :

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager plays a critical role in overseeing Operational Risk Management functions, including workplace safety, environmental compliance, business continuity, facility security, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role ensures full compliance with applicable laws and internal standards, while proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor plant and leadership teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and internal EHS protocols through audits, assessments, and training.
  • Champion continuous improvement of the site's EHS management systems.
  • Develop and implement strategic programs to identify and control safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Drive execution of annual EHS operating plans and action plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and achieve performance targets related to incident rates, severity, and environmental impact.
  • Manage regulatory interactions, including OSHA inspections and compliance communications.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of all EHS activities and records.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives to reduce resource consumption, minimize waste, and enhance recycling efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Management, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels and with external agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret regulations and implement effective compliance programs.
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM), OSHA 30-hour, Ergonomics Certification, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP).

Salary Range: $95,000-$120,000
