Position Overview:
We are actively seeking experienced and credentialed Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Managers to support multiple large-scale concrete and shell construction projects in South Florida (Palm Beach County). This is a direct hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all EHS compliance efforts on fast-paced concrete/shell job site(s)
- Conduct and document daily EHS inspections specific to formwork, rebar, shoring, lifts, and concrete placement activities
- Deliver tailored, site-specific safety orientations and toolbox talks
- Support and oversee crane and material handling safety efforts
- Participate in and lead Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) processes, with a focus on high-risk concrete tasks
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Partner with field supervision to maintain an injury-free culture on site
- Monitor and analyze leading/lagging indicators; develop proactive safety strategies
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to their EHS plans and training requirements
- Verify craft workers are qualified for high-hazard concrete-related work
- Engage with EHS reps from partner trades to coordinate sitewide safety efforts
- Deliver EHS training modules relevant to concrete construction (e.g., formwork safety, rigging, fall protection)
- Support and help lead a safety recognition program onsite
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of EHS experience with a concrete and shell contractor or similar
- Deep knowledge of fall protection, excavation, formwork, shoring, and elevated work hazards
- OSHA 510 or OSHA 500
- CSP, CHST, STSC, GSP, or ASP preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and daily report documentation
- BS or MS in Safety, Construction Management, or a related field
