The Axel Group is working with a well-established environmental consulting and engineering firm in Wall, NJ that is seeking an experienced Enviromental Assistant Project Manager with 4–8 years of industry experience. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and oversight of complex environmental projects from planning through completion
- Support senior project managers with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Prepare, review, and coordinate technical reports, including Workplans, Health and Safety Plans, site assessments, and remediation reports
- Oversee field activities, including remedial investigations and remedial action implementation for soil and groundwater projects
- Provide on-site construction support and collaborate with superintendents to ensure compliance with project goals
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory officials, maintaining strong professional relationships
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental or Civil Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related Physical Science discipline
- 4–8 years of professional experience in the environmental consulting/engineering industry
- Experience managing portions of projects, coordinating field staff, and interacting with clients and regulatory agencies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard software (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD, project management tools)
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
