Enviornmental Lab Techician- Roanoke Rapids, NC - Westrock Company : Job Details

Comply with safety and environmental policies of the mill. As a lab technician Perform daily lab tasks as per the plan. Daily test includes, but is not limited to, multiple p. H, COD, and TSS for WWTP samples collected from various stages of WWTP. Record the test results in mills data base system (such as Ekho, PI, tec.) for DMS update. Sample Collection: Collect daily wastewater samples in the mill and weekly upstream/downstream samples. Organizing sampling kits for Daily wastewater Compliance sampling with a completed blank Chain of Custody (COC) form. Routine Environmental testing Sample Analysis: Perform field/bench analysis for temperature, p. H, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. TOC Analysis: Setup and run daily TOC analyzer on collected wastewater samples. TSS and BOD Testing: Prepare TSS sample filters, conduct daily TSS and 5-day BOD tests, and calculate TSS and BOD lbs/day and MTD averages.
