Job Description
This role involves working within our Building Envelope division, with responsibilities including but not limited to:
Managing and growing services related to the Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP).Managing a team of Industry Rope Access (IRA) inspectors and overseeing FISP projects; periodic rope inspections are expected.Consulting on facade design for enhancement or maintenance projects, including forensic review, bid document and repair detail preparation, and construction administration.Collaborating with internal departments on project requirements and budgets.Communicating effectively with clients and management teams to meet project timelines and client needs.Ensuring familiarity with local building codes, including Energy Codes.Advising architects and clients on building enclosure performance, constructability, and durability.Documenting project activities and maintaining detailed reports.Managing project deliverables and overseeing staff reports and progress.Managing manpower, technical needs, and team training/mentoring.Presenting case studies or white papers to technical teams as needed.Performing additional duties as assigned.Qualifications
Minimum of 8+ years experience in building envelope/enclosure & restoration projects.Experience with industrial rope access; SPRAT certification required.Master's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering.Registered Architect or Professional Engineer.Knowledge of architectural design concepts and local codes.Ability to interpret architectural drawings.Strong communication skills.Inspection certificates preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document writing tools.Ability to work in a dynamic team, problem-solve, and multitask.Detail-oriented with a big-picture perspective.Additional Information
SOCOTEC offers competitive compensation, including salary, benefits, and bonuses based on experience. Confidentiality is maintained per EEO guidelines. Salary range: $120K-$145K.
