Job Title: Entry-Level to Junior Software Engineer Robotics & Automation

Job Location: Hartford, CT (On-site, 5 days/week)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About Company: This is a full-time role, directly employed position through the client.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

• BS/BA in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, CIS or a technical degree with strong software skills
• Solid Java experience required; familiarity with JavaScript, Python, C++, or C# is a plus
• Direct experience or strong exposure to robotics, automated machinery, or complex electro-mechanical systems
• Develop, support, and maintain software that drives robotic and automated biotech systems
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate hardware with software
• Work on secure, Java-based communication systems that control a vast range of robotic components

Nice-to-Haves:

• Passion for mechanical or electrical tinkering outside the workplace
• Firmware or embedded systems knowledge
• Experience in biotech, manufacturing, or industrial automation environments
