Description

Arbor Vita Corporation is seeking a talented entry-level product development / manufacturing technician to join efforts in the development and production of medical diagnostic products, including those related to cancer, womens health, and respiratory disease. The position involves work at the interface of product development and manufacturing within a small but innovative biotechnology setting. The role requires working knowledge and wet lab experience in general molecular biology laboratory methods; theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in activities like solution and reagent preparation, weighing techniques, pH adjustments, nucleic acid and protein purification, and cell culture techniques are highly advantageous. The applicant should be able to learn and apply new techniques, critically analyze data, and present findings to the team. Enthusiasm for innovative problem-solving and interest in regulated environment requirements (GMP, ISO 13485) are essential. Hands-on experience in recombinant protein expression and purification in E. coli, hybridoma cell culture, and antibody purification is highly desired.

Company Description

Arbor Vita Corporation is dedicated to protecting womens health across all ages, races, and locations. Current screening methods like Pap smears and HPV DNA tests detect cervical cell changes or HPV presence but require complex processing, limiting their effectiveness, especially in rural areas. Our OncoE6TM Cervical Test offers a simpler alternative: it requires no refrigeration, is easy to administer (including self-collection), and provides results in just over two hours. Our test aims to deliver rapid, accurate results for women under 21 and over 60, populations often underserved by conventional testing.
