FTE: Part Time, 0.5, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $19.10 - $24.83 / hour; Pay is based on relevant experience

Overview: Join our dedicated team at UCHealth as an Entry-Level Phlebotomist. In this role, you'll be vital in collecting and processing blood specimens for laboratory testing, contributing to the improved health of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect blood specimens using techniques suitable for patients of all ages.
• Label, process, and efficiently deliver specimens for laboratory testing.
• Maintain and organize supplies and equipment.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned, which may include clerical duties, patient registration, lab processing, send-out testing, point of care testing, EKG, pacemaker interrogation, support in pathology lab, bone marrow assistance, apheresis, or therapeutic phlebotomy.
• Utilize critical thinking skills, make decisive judgments, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, to be obtained prior to start date, with valid certification for at least sixty days post-hire.
