We are looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Forklift Mechanic. In this role, you will assist with the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electric and LP (liquefied petroleum) forklifts, aerial lifts, and other material handling equipment. This is a great opportunity to develop your mechanical skills in a hands-on environment with supportive training and guidance.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.
· Assist in diagnosing and fixing issues with brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and cooling systems.
· Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders and inspection reports.
· Help manage parts inventory and ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.
· Read and follow work orders, safety procedures, and equipment manuals.
· Maintain and service batteries and battery chargers.
· Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
· Use creative problem-solving to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities are not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical Demands
· Frequent standing, walking, reaching, handling, and use of hands and fingers.
· Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
· Regular use of both hands for coordinated tasks.
· Frequent reaching at various heights (above shoulders, at waist, below waist).
· Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs from floor to shoulder height.
· Prolonged standing, bending, and walking—up to 12 hours per shift.
· Frequent wrist and hand flexing/gripping (up to 15 repetitions per minute).
Work Environment
· Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
· May work in wet, humid, or outdoor conditions.
· Possible exposure to heights, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration.
· May encounter extreme temperatures (non-weather related).
· Risk of electrical shock in certain areas.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
1. Mechanical experience or training (automotive, small engine, or similar fields).
2. Basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems is a plus.
3. Eagerness to learn and grow in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
4. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety.
5. Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
6. Effective time management and multitasking skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
9. High school diploma or equivalent required.

12. Valid, unrestricted California driver's license required.
