Join our dedicated team in the General Surgery/Trauma department! As an Entry-Level Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care for our patients recovering from surgery. Our bustling B3 unit consists of 36 private rooms catering to a variety of surgical specialties, including Trauma, Orthopedics, ENT, Thoracic, Plastics, and Bariatric care.

Work Shift: Day

Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26

Hourly Range: $34.65 - $35.69

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform necessary procedures.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to assess and evaluate patients' conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Use sound nursing judgment to manage patient care effectively.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with nursing teams to create individualized Plans of Care.
• Guide ancillary personnel while maintaining high professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply them effectively.
