Job Summary The Enterprise Systems Administrator is responsible for administration, configuration, implementation, security, and support for the university's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and various related on-premise and cloud-hosted applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform the following essential duties and responsibilities listed in the Job Description that follows. The AVP for IT Services may assign other duties.
Responsible for enterprise system administration, including system configuration, implementation, enhancements, and management of connected hardware, software, and printers. Responsible for daily functionality, user support, user training, and product documentation. Develop and conduct data validation processes with end-users regarding: system bugs, system migrations, upgrades, and enhancements. Determine the feasibility of user requests based on existing technical systems and data structures. Assess the impacts of system modifications on relevant processes or applications. Create, manage, and maintain data export and import processes. Assist with integrations to various on-premise and cloud-hosted applications. Develop and implement reporting cycles and custom reports for users. Analyze and research system-level issues independently and work with consultants and other IT staff members to resolve network-level issues. Create and maintain user accounts, providing access to system resources (directories, applications, menus, printers, etc.) while keeping to the principle of least privilege. Maintain security for applications, assist with the management of data integrity and retention across all systems. Maintain a list of system issues; determine solutions and an acceptable schedule for resolution. Communicate resolution plans to interested stakeholders and ensure an open line of communication between end users and IT Services. Coordinate with the AVP for IT to ensure proper licensing and maintenance of ERP software resources and related systems. Collaborate with other IT employees to develop and implement security and compliance-related procedures and controls. Recommend revisions as necessary to ensure compliance with changing regulations and technology in areas of responsibility. Periodically assist with testing of system disaster recovery plans and procedures. Apply listening skills, work under pressure, address conflict, solve problems, and make sound judgments. Stay informed of industry trends and all applicable technologies, including security issues. Maintain a positive working relationship with faculty, staff, students, and vendors.
