Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile Enterprise Imaging Consultant with broad expertise in PACS, RIS, CVIS, VNA, and associated imaging systems. This role is remote-based, ideally situated in Northern New York or the surrounding region, and involves approximately 25% travel. The ideal candidate is hands-on and comfortable actively engaging in day-to-day PACS administration tasks while leading enterprise imaging strategies, system integrations, and clinical workflow optimizations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive imaging assessments and develop enterprise-wide imaging strategies and architectures.
• Provide expert guidance on PACS, RIS, CVIS, VNA, voice recognition, imaging AI, and other specialty imaging technologies.
• Actively participate in daily operational imaging informatics tasks, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
• Lead vendor evaluations, selections, and implementations utilizing Konfidi's VendorMatch process.
• Oversee implementations, integrations, and migrations across diverse clinical specialties and multiple sites.
• Perform workflow mapping, gap analyses, and develop integration plans tailored to client needs.
• Deliver training and effective knowledge transfer to IT teams, clinical staff, and departmental leaders.
• Support post-implementation optimization to ensure sustainable imaging informatics support and IT managed services.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in Enterprise Imaging Systems, including PACS, RIS, CVIS, VNA, and core imaging platforms (e.g., Philips, Intelerad, Merge, Change, Sectra, Fuji, GE, Visage, Epic Radiant, Cerner RadNet, AbbaDox CareFlow).
• Demonstrated expertise in imaging workflows such as radiology, breast imaging, and cardiology.
• Proven technical competency in daily PACS administrative tasks, system configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
• Deep knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and IHE integration standards.
• Experience with clinical workflow design, system implementation, and migration projects.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage remote responsibilities and directly engage in hands-on work.
• Bachelor's degree in Imaging Informatics, Health IT, or related discipline.
• Advanced certifications (CIIP, CPHIMS, etc.) strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with imaging workflows in ophthalmology, dental, pathology, orthopedics, and other specialty imaging areas is preferred but not required. Konfidi Health can provide training to enhance skills in these areas.
