Brief DescriptionJOB RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership & Team Oversight
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across applications, development, project management, and data management.
  • Foster a collaborative, Agile-driven culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
  • Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
Enterprise Applications & Development
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise applications, including selection, implementation, integration, upgrades, and support.
  • Direct software development efforts using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Establish and enforce development standards, coding practices, and documentation protocols.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party application providers.
Project & Program Management
  • Lead cross-functional IS projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Apply Agile project management principles to enhance responsiveness and adaptability.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure project success, team performance, and service delivery.
  • Oversee resource planning, work schedules, and capacity management.
Data Management & Governance
  • Develop and implement data governance strategies to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data architecture, reporting needs, and analytics capabilities.
  • Support the deployment and optimization of data platforms, warehouses, and BI tools.
Operational & Strategic Support
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and operational improvements.
  • Assist in the development and administration of the IS department's annual budget, including staffing, tools, and infrastructure.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
SkillsLeadership & Communication
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Technical & Strategic Thinking
  • Deep understanding of enterprise application ecosystems, software development practices, and data management principles.
  • Proficiency in Agile frameworks and experience leading Agile teams.
  • Familiarity with IS governance, compliance, and risk management.
Problem Solving & Adaptability
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through change in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive IS experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing applications, development, or data teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban); Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
  • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or equivalent are desirable.
