I. Position Purpose
To grow enrollment and help more students reach their potential and success.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about bringing new students to Hocking College while also assisting current students enrolled. Travel, including overnight stays and seasonal extended hours during peak enrollment times, is included for success in this role.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit for program and/or territory assignments to ensure effective enrollment of targeted new students.
- Represent Hocking College both on and off campus to prospective students and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.
- Cultivate partnerships virtually and in person with local school districts, organizations, and businesses to attract and recruit prospective students.
- Network and build strong relationships to generate personally developed referrals.
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective students through consistent and effective outreach, communications, and follow-up.
- Provide support and training facilitation for the enrollment team, along with other internal departments as needed.
- Meet with prospective students and their supporters to accurately explain program offerings, services, and financial aid opportunities aligned with their interests, education, and career goals at internal and external recruitment events.
- Assist prospective students with the enrollment process, including program selection, admission application, financial aid support, registration, housing arrangements, and payment options.
- Assist in planning and implementing on-campus events, visitations, and programs for groups and individuals.
- Prioritize prospective student leads and foster outbound communication from themselves and their team to interested students.
- Manage all prospective student accounts within various electronic platforms and CRM systems, including Microsoft and Google suites.
III. Qualifications – Education, Experience, And Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred or Associate's degree with 2-3 years of related experience.
- 2-3 years of professional experience within higher education or sales and sales management preferred.
- Proficiency and success in inside and/or outside sales; sales management experience is a plus.
- College and enrollment experience is a plus (training available if not).
- Valid Ohio Driver's license or ability to obtain one within 15 days of employment.
- Ability to diagnose current operations and adapt strategies to exceed objectives.
- Excellent oral, written communication, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to develop academic and career success solutions.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet enrollment targets.
- Ability to attract, train, and retain a dynamic team.
