Position Details The Admissions Office at The University of Tampa has an opening for an Enrollment Communication Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Operations and Communications, the Enrollment Communication Specialist is responsible for assisting the office of Enrollment Operations and Communications tell UTampa's story in a compelling, authentic way to attract, inspire and engage prospective students. This position will focus on assisting with communication initiatives, in line with strategic communication strategy, across all stages of the enrollment funnel. Through their work in this role, the Enrollment Communications Specialist will play a critical role in UTampa's commitment to attracting and enrolling the best and best fit students for the University. Responsibilities • Assist with the develop of engaging multi-channel communication campaigns that drive interest and applications from prospective students. • Develop content tailored for prospective students across all forms of traditional and emerging media. • Collaborate with admissions counselors, current students, faculty, and staff to collect and share compelling narratives about the UTampa experience in authentic, visual, and dynamic ways. • Contribute to a coordinated content calendar and ensure timely delivery of campaigns that align with recruitment timelines. • Write and produce multi-channel content that connects with prospective students at every stage of their journey-from just browsing to committed. • Stay current on media trends, youth culture, and platform developments to keep UTampa's communications fresh and relevant. • Use data and feedback to test, refine, and optimize messaging and campaign performance. • Assist with events as needed, during evening and weekend hours. • Support additional communication initiatives as needed, in alignment with the organization's evolving strategic goals. • Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of all cultures and backgrounds. Minimum Qualifications • Earned bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or similar. • Two to four years of professional work experience in writing, content creation, or youth-focused marketing. • Experience with storytelling tools (email, video, web, etc.). • Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Technolution's Slate, Workday and Microsoft Office. • Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices. • Ability to work events during evening and weekend hours as permitted. Preferred qualifications • Strong organizational skills. • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and faculty. • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills • Ability to establish rapport and to build strong working relationships with a wide variety of people. • Ability to work independently on tasks with minimal supervision. • Team player with empathy and respect for others.
