Overview

The Enrichment Services Coordinator Expanded Learning Programs (ELP) is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing high-quality enrichment programs into multiple district and charter school Expanded Learning Programs. The Enrichment Services Coordinator will facilitate enrichment needs assessments, enrichment program budgets, subcontracted vendor agreements, vendor scheduling, and the evaluation of effective enrichment programs. The Enrichment Services Coordinator position requires program development experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a desire to provide students with meaningful and engaging enrichment opportunities that expanded student horizons and promote skill building and student interests.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with district and charter organization partners to design enrichment programs and activities for Expanded Learning Programs contracts
  • Manage sub-contracted vendor agreements including sourcing, fee for service proposals, independent contractor agreements, invoicing, and school site scheduling of vendor services Facilitate sub-contracted agreements with regional YMCA branches for specialized enrichment services in Expanded Learning Programs
  • Perform periodic review of vendor performance via student, staff, and partner surveys for continuous quality improvement of services; Actively promote and ensure equity and access in all enrichment programs and services
  • Collaborate with Quality Programs Coordinators and Program Directors to effectively and efficiently implement partner requested enrichment programs
  • Facilitate student focus groups to build enrichment programs that are age-appropriate and meet student needs and interests
  • Hire, train, and supervise Club Instructor positions to implement weekly enrichment clubs and programs across multiple school sites
  • Support school sites in implementing high quality enrichment clubs that are age appropriate, build progressive skills, and lead to a culminating project, product, or event
  • Manage the purchasing of supplies and materials necessary to facilitate enrichment programs
  • Facilitate the marketing of enrichment programs in collaboration with marketing department and operations staff

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position occasionally requires travel throughout San Diego County.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Includes supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma/GED
  • Four years experience in expanded learning programs, enrichment programming, youth development programs, camps, education, or comparable setting required
  • Must meet minimum qualifications for a highly qualified Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide in the district in which the assigned school operates; AA/AS degree, 48 college units or passing score on districts Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide proficiency exam acceptable
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications and web-based programs to manage vendor services, enrichment scheduling, and continuous quality improvement activities
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
  • Relate effectively to diverse groups of staff, students, and families from all social and economic segments of the community
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment

PRE-HIRE CONTINGENCIES:

  • Completion of Child Abuse Prevention training prior to working with program participants
  • Licensing, state law and our funders require that applicants be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications
  • Negative TB assessment or test results obtained within the past 60 days, prior to working on a school site, and every four (4) years thereafter
  • CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire, and must be from one of the following certifying organizations: American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute
