As a NETA-accredited company, we pride ourselves on technical excellence, safety, and service.Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead and support a team of power systems engineers. This position is responsible for project oversight, technical quality, staff development, and ensuring the delivery of complex engineering solutions across industrial and utility clients.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesSupervise and mentor a team of electrical engineers, providing technical direction and career development support.Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.Conduct electrical power systems studies including:- Short-circuit- Protective device coordination- Arc-flash hazard analysis- Grounding- Harmonic analysisPerform or oversee:- Power systems analysis and design for utility and industrial applications- Protective relaying system design and integration (SEL, GE, Siemens, Schneider)- Substation automation (RTAC, RTU, HMI, and related communication protocols)- Electrical drawing packages (SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, three-lines)- Distribution system upgrades (MCCs, switchgear, relays, fuses, breakers, transformers)Provide QA/QC on engineering deliverables and proposals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, field technicians, and clients.Support business development efforts by preparing technical proposals, estimates, and client presentations.Promote and enforce compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.QualificationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institutionRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months7+ years of progressive experience in power systems engineering2+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience preferredProficiency in power system modeling software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, EasyPower)Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environmentValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordWillingness to travel periodically to job sites (domestic)Physical and Other RequirementsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background checkMust be able to pass a fit-for-duty physical examAbility to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform fieldwork when requiredMust be able to read, write, and speak English fluentlyOccasional overtime and travel as project demands requireEngineering Supervisor (Finance)Overview Position Title: Engineering SupervisorLocation: Nashville, TNEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout Shermco IndustriesShermco Industries is North America's leading independent provider of electrical testing, maintenance, engineering, and repair services for industrial, commercial, utility, and renewable energy customers.
