We are seeking an enthusiastic and people-oriented Engineering Services Manager to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. This position is responsible for leading a team of civil engineers, technicians, surveyors, and other technical staff who design, develop, and implement projects. This position is responsible for the mentorship, career development and management of assigned staff within their respected group as well as planning, organizing, and directing work to staff as it relates to projects. This position also coordinates efforts with other managers and the Director of Services to ensure efficient use of resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and provides overall supervision of site and roadway projects.
- Manages all aspects of projects including client relations, scope and fee determination, preparation of agreements and amendments, designation of project teams, schedules, and administration of the project.
- Manages engineering and surveying project teams, including staffing, supervision, performance management, training, and development. Prepares performance evaluations; recommends and administers progressive discipline; determines staff training and development programs; promotes cooperative team efforts among staff and with other departments; motivates employees to provide quality service to clients.
- Directs project and construction management, including reviewing contract specifications, and the prequalification process; reviews standard engineering agreements, contract documents and construction RFP specifications; develops and monitors project time schedules and expenditures; administers changes and assesses change requests and claims arising from consulting agreements and construction contracts.
- Assists in the development of goals and budgets for the team; responsible for the review of financial metrics and reporting and for the overall financial performance of their team including balancing workload, staffing levels, and meeting fee budgets.
- Develops and maintain positive relationships with clients for both existing and future projects and is active in appropriate business and professional associations.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent or related experience
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience is required
- 1-2 years of management experience is preferred
License or Certification Requirements:
- Professional Engineer License (PE) for the State of Wisconsin is preferred
