The Work

As the Engineering Program Manager (EPM) for our Undersea Warfare market segment, your responsibilities include:

* Leading and managing engineers from various technical disciplines throughout the system development lifecycle.

* Establishing schedules, milestones, and budgets to ensure program design requirements are met.

* Identifying and tracking program risks and opportunities.

* Developing and tracking project metrics and earned value management system (EVMS) performance.

* Managing integrated master schedules to monitor project performance.

* Supporting business capture activities, including proposal cost estimation and technology roadmap development.

You will interface and present directly with customers, Program Management, Engineering organization, and Business Development counterparts to execute ongoing programs and develop strategies for future captures and opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree with 14 years of professional experience; or 12 years' experience with a related Master's degree.

* Experience with new business proposal captures and capable of contributing to bids and proposal developments.

* Experience in developing and executing technology and product roadmaps.

* Experience with system level development, designing, testing, and verification to an approved requirements baseline

* Demonstrated leading multidisciplinary teams including bringing products from development through engineering test, first article test, and production while balancing schedule, budget, and technical pressures.

* Experience with cost account management (CAM), scheduling, earned value measurement (EVM) and collection techniques (ANSI/EIA-748)

* Experience within electrical design, mechanical design, or systems engineering organizations

* Qualified candidates must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. This requires U.S. Citizenship.

Desired Skills:

* Familiarity with DoD contracting activities and acquisition lifecycle

* Multi-domain/discipline experience to understand and provide team guidance regarding the systems, software, electrical, and mechanical aspects of a design solutions

* Detailed knowledge, analytical skills, and hands-on experience with electronic system design, test, and production.

* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with Strong technical writing skills

* Ability to thrive in multitasking environment, supporting multiple programs

* Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment

* Ability to translate CONOPS to technical baseline

* Experience transitioning Engineering Development Models (EDMs)/prototypes to production

* Experience working with international customers and foreign military sales.

* Understanding and experience with US Navy customers

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $123,500 - $236,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $142,100 - $267,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
