We're looking for an Engineering Manager who can bring technical expertise and creative leadership to our Product Engineering and Customs teams.
This is a role for someone who loves solving complex design challenges, guiding talented engineers, and turning bold ideas into products that illuminate spaces around the world.
What You'll Do
Lead with Vision
- Set direction for Product Engineering and Customs in alignment with our company's strategy.
- Inspire and support your team—coaching, mentoring, and celebrating their growth.
- Build smart departmental plans and budgets, while keeping a clear eye on both today's needs and tomorrow's opportunities.
Drive New Product & Custom Innovation
- Guide engineering for new and custom products, ensuring a steady rhythm of launches throughout the year.
- Dive into design inquiry and user research, applying critical thinking to bring new concepts to life.
- Partner with designers to balance artistry with manufacturability, delivering solutions that are both beautiful and practical.
- Lead the accurate transformation of sketches and concepts into production-ready designs and drawing packages.
Elevate Existing Products
- Oversee product changes with an eye toward compliance, design integrity, and quality.
- Drive redesigns that respect design intent while improving cost structure and manufacturability.
- Support continuous improvement and process innovation projects that make us sharper and more efficient.
Strengthen Engineering Systems
- Champion engineering standards and revision control, ensuring our products are consistent, secure, and ready to scale.
- Safeguard product documentation and maintain systems that support the needs of the business.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or related field) or a PE license.
- 5–7 years of engineering experience in manufacturing/product design, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- A track record of guiding designs from concept to production.
- Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing technologies in light engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD systems (SolidWorks and AutoCAD).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- A self-directed, detail-oriented mindset with patience and persistence.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
