Job Description
Purpose of Position
Responsible for managing and coordinating the Quality Control and Process Engineering functions.
Key Accountabilities
- Direct supervision of Process Engineer.
- Support plant-level ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 programs.
- Interface with Corporate Research and Development personnel.
- Handle Process Safety responsibilities.
- Partner on CAPEX projects with Plant Engineer.
- Participate actively in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Management of Change (MOC).
- Collaborate with plant operation personnel and operators regarding new products and processes.
- Knowledge of Phenolics Chemistry and Technology is a plus.
- Improve internal systems for increased efficiency and reduced administrative overhead.
- Provide regular reports on key business aspects as required.
- Supply technical information to Operations staff to ensure proper operation and maintenance, aiming to minimize manufacturing costs.
- Enhance safety records by addressing physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
- Maintain and improve housekeeping standards across all areas.
- Keep skills up-to-date with the latest plant quality concepts and process engineering developments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

- Knowledge of SAP and Process Control systems like Delta V is advantageous.
- Experience with Process Safety Management.
Education Required
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- At least 6 years of experience in a high-production environment.
- 10 years of manufacturing experience, with 5 years in supervisory or managerial roles.
