Job Description

Purpose of Position

Responsible for managing and coordinating the Quality Control and Process Engineering functions.

Key Accountabilities

• Direct supervision of Process Engineer.
• Support plant-level ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 programs.
• Interface with Corporate Research and Development personnel.
• Handle Process Safety responsibilities.
• Partner on CAPEX projects with Plant Engineer.
• Participate actively in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Management of Change (MOC).
• Collaborate with plant operation personnel and operators regarding new products and processes.
• Knowledge of Phenolics Chemistry and Technology is a plus.
• Improve internal systems for increased efficiency and reduced administrative overhead.
• Provide regular reports on key business aspects as required.
• Supply technical information to Operations staff to ensure proper operation and maintenance, aiming to minimize manufacturing costs.
• Enhance safety records by addressing physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
• Maintain and improve housekeeping standards across all areas.
• Keep skills up-to-date with the latest plant quality concepts and process engineering developments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

• Knowledge of SAP and Process Control systems like Delta V is advantageous.
• Experience with Process Safety Management.

Education Required

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in a high-production environment.
• 10 years of manufacturing experience, with 5 years in supervisory or managerial roles.
