Engineering Lead IV Duration: 07/27/2026 (High potential for extension) Location: Duluth, MN Position Summary Enbridge is seeking a highly experienced Engineering Lead IV to oversee the design and execution of facilities associated with capital expansion and maintenance projects. This individual will ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations, working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on budget and on schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of project scope, schedule, capital cost estimates, execution planning, and risk assessments.
- Manage third-party engineering firms executing project design deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements, as well as applicable industry codes and corporate standards.
- Review and approve technical deliverables including drawings, reports, and material listings.
- Support procurement by reviewing vendor quotations, conducting technical evaluations, and coordinating with Supply Chain.
- Integrate lessons learned from previous projects into ongoing and future designs.
- Provide technical support to the Construction team during project execution.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide expert technical guidance across teams.
- Support or lead departmental initiatives as assigned.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Project Manager: Weekly updates on progress, cost, schedule, and risk.
- Supervisor, Facilities Project Engineering: Regular project status reports.
- External Engineering Firms: Daily design oversight and coordination.
- Operations Teams: Weekly alignment on operational needs and design requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (relevant discipline).
- Minimum 7 years of progressive engineering and project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng or PE) designation.
- Proven leadership in innovation and change management.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple high-impact projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a deep technical and business understanding.
- Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid understanding of cross-functional stakeholder dynamics.
Working Conditions
- Office-based position with occasional field visits.
