Job Description - Engineering Design Assistant (2502242)

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume) :Associates degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and two (2) years of apprenticeship, education, or work experience in General Construction. In lieu of a degree, four (4) years of apprenticeship, education, or work experience in General Construction may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:Planning and/or crew administration experience.Supervision of construction.

Brief Description of Duties:Working under supervision, incumbents design and construct a wide variety of models and devices following limited written or oral instructions. Complete assignments as described by the general nature and purpose of equipment of device.

Duties:

• Perform laboratory construction of advanced difficulty in planning and designing with the ability to read blueprints.
• Monitor budgets and timelines.
• May assign and check tasks performed by others assigned to assist in the work when completing large projects or programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
