Engineering Assistant/Drafter - Insight Global : Job Details

A client in the greater Chattanooga area is looking for an Engineering Assistant to join their team. This person will support the Product Engineering group ensuring that all materials and parts for the products being manufactured are ordered in a timely and accurate manner. This individual will gather all drawings and then will put together the BOMs. They will then send the BOMs to the team to verify and then send to procurement. Procurement will then work in the inventory purchasing systems to get the necessary parts ordered and routed through the shop. It is essential that they maintain good documentation and create a strong tracking system, in order to keep the engineering team in the loop on the status of the parts/materials being delivered.
