Day-Off 1st Fri.Position ConceptThe Engineering and Maintenance Manager directs a team of Engineers, Maintenance Specialists, Administrative personnel and contractors to deliver quality maintenance and technical support to ensure station reliability, efficiency, safety and other requirements are met.Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and prioritization of both capital and O&M budgets. Effectively manage both budgets through accurate planning and focused utilization of contracted resources.
- Responsible for providing engineering, maintenance, technical direction and support to ensure safe, reliable, efficient, OEM/Industry code compliant and environmentally responsible plant operation & maintenance. Keep abreast of the latest technology and operating experience of other plants and industries and apply this knowledge.
- Assist in providing support our community and customers through ICAP, USF, local Chambers and plant tours for various community/business/government activities.
- Responsible for Development of staff through coaching, PR/IDP programs, PDP program, training, special assignments, and cross training.
- Responsible for making soundtechnical, operational and maintenance decisions on plant issues and project design requirements and liaising with OPM to plan and execute major equipment outage maintenance/upgrades.
- Assist by providing input to annual station goals, work with the technical staff and other Station Managers in developing,prioritizing and executing plans to support goals, and work with KMT in communicating goals.
- Responsible for Facilitating the Continuous Improvement program including system/process reviews and upgrades leading to the recommendation and executing of assigned projects and initiatives. Ensure program operates properly and has value.
- Responsible for leadingthe Critical System Review of Process Safety Awareness Bulletins, PSM Mechanical Integrity Plan, Operational Start-ups, Alarm Management and RCAs.
EducationRequired: A four-year degree from an ABET accredited university or collegePreferred: A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical EngineeringLicenses/CertificationsPreferred: Professional Engineering LicenseExperienceRequired: A minimum of 5 years of power plant related experience in the areas of power plant technical support, maintenance and/or operationsPreferred: A minimum of 10 years of power plant related experience in the areas of power plant technical support, maintenance and/or operationsSupverisory ExperienceRequired: A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience with leadership over indirect or direct reports and/or project work in the areas of power plant technical support, maintenance and/or operationsPreferred: A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience, leading direct reports, in the areas of power plant technical support, maintenance and/or operationsKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesRequired: This position requires a strong understanding of power plant engineering principals, materials and their applications, design codes and utility business economics. In addition, this position requires the ability with a proven track record to organize, lead and resolve technical and process problems through root cause analyses. The ability with a proven track record to effectively lead and motivate individuals to meet company/plant goals and personal development needs is required.
