Position Overview

The Manager of Engineering and Maintenance is a key leadership role responsible for fostering relationships, building trust, and guiding employee growth. This position oversees manufacturing facilities, engineering, and maintenance teams, ensuring activities are conducted safely and cost-effectively across multiple shifts. The department focuses on safety, maintenance reliability, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of professionals and technicians, ensuring engagement and alignment with company vision while providing strategic leadership.
• Ensure reliable operation of plant manufacturing equipment through preventative and predictive maintenance practices and reliability analytics.
• Manage work orders, preventative maintenance, inventory, and projects.
• Oversee capital projects from inception to commissioning, aligning with plant and corporate goals, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on project budgets, schedules, and activities.
• Maintain safety protocols, review LOTO procedures, and oversee the management of change (MOC) program.
• Support production schedules by directing maintenance activities across shifts and resolving equipment and facility issues.
• Track expenses and manage department budgets.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for the department.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance through reporting, audits, and incident investigations.
• Develop training and onboarding programs for technicians.
• Update and train staff on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience or training in related fields.
• Proven leadership in fostering relationships, trust, and employee development.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Factory Talk).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.

• Salary range: $115,731 - $144,664, based on experience and factors.
