What you'll do in this role:
The primary purpose of this position is to apply extensive engineering knowledge to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Adhere to company values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements, including QMS, FDA regulations, and other regulatory standards.
- Develop innovative approaches to complex problems and lead projects to enhance technological capabilities.
- Investigate technology and business trends, recommending best practices.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies of significant scope and complexity.
- Identify and procure advanced equipment and technology as needed.
- Generate and review technical documentation such as protocols, reports, and specifications.
- Plan and develop engineering projects impacting major programs.
- Lead cross-functional teams and influence others to achieve project goals.
- Supervise and mentor technicians and engineers, modeling professional behaviors.
- Build relationships within and outside the organization, possibly requiring travel.
- Embed Quality within engineering practices, ensuring adherence to QMS and contributing to quality KPIs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Support of Manufacturing Excellence and Innovation Strategies:
- Drive systems and tools for continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of Manufacturing Excellence based on Integer Production System principles, including strategy alignment, change leadership, standardization, engagement, and process optimization.
How you will be measured:
- Support environmental, health, and safety programs.
- Achieve site quality KPIs.
- Set and meet goals and milestones for key projects.
- Identify opportunities to shorten project durations and improve processes.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and support their implementation.
- Leverage your expertise and collaboration skills to deliver results.
What sets you apart:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive engineering experience; candidates with 15+ years of relevant experience may be considered without a degree.
- Certifications in problem-solving and project management methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt preferred, 8D, RCA, PMP).
- Strong technical problem-solving skills resulting in breakthrough results.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Leadership and coaching abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Calm demeanor and positive attitude.
Salary Range: $113,025 - $165,770
