Position Summary
The Engineer Reliability reports to the Manager Reliability and is responsible for aircraft, power plant, and component trend/performance analysis in support of the Reliability portion of the Continuing Analysis Surveillance System (CASS).
Essential Responsibilities
Collect data from maintenance and engineering systems and perform statistical analysis to monitor and evaluate the operational and technical performance of the JetBlue fleet.Analyze technical data from aircraft maintenance logs and service records to determine causes and failure trends.Monitor delays, pilot write-ups, and other technical interruptions, evaluating data for trends.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop trend-monitoring reports using visualization tools such as Spotfire, Palantir Foundry, Tableau, etc.Analyze component shop finding reports to determine causes and failure trends; interface with business partners to develop solutions.Produce weekly and monthly Reliability Reports and provide on-demand technical reports to Technical Operations management as needed.Participate and present at daily, weekly, and monthly Reliability and Performance meetings, tracking significant findings as action items.Assist in managing programs like Repeat Items, Category (CAT) II/III, RVSM, and Rogue components.Analyze Heavy Maintenance data to determine causes of failures, recommend Maintenance Program adjustments, and implement escalations.Maintain awareness of ETOPS significant systems, monitor and resolve related technical issues, and ensure compliance with ETOPS requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Math or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of related experience.
- Strong mathematics and statistical analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to explain technical data clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Availability for occasional overnight travel (up to 20%).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and obtain/maintain SIDA badge.
- Legal eligibility to work in the country where the position is located; US work authorization required.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Knowledge of coding languages such as R and Python.
- Knowledge of SQL and FAA regulations related to 121 Air Carrier operations.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial aircraft systems and maintenance/engineering databases like TRAX and Snowflake.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and analytical skills.

Compensation
- Annual salary range: $90,000 - $118,400, plus benefits including bonuses, stock options, healthcare, 401(k), travel perks, and more.
